In this Holy Valley, also called “Valle del Primo Presepe” Saint Francis lived some of the most important moments of his spiritual life. From the 25th of November 2023 to the 2th of February 20204 you can admire the exhibitions of the Nativity Scenes and join all the events. how to get to rieti
BY CAR: From the North: maintain A1 highway up to Orte toll booth, continue through Orte-Terni and then take SS79 road to Rieti.
From the South: maintain A1 highway towards Firenze, exit at Fiano Romano and continue through SS4 Salaria to Rieti.
From the east: from Ascoli Piceno, continue through SS4 Salaria to Rieti. From Pescara or L’Aquila, maintain A24 highway up to Tornimparte tool booth and then continue through SR 578 or Rieti Torano towards Rieti.
From Rome: from the GRA, take A1 highway towards Firenze, exit at Fiano Romano tool booth and continue through SS4 Salaria to Rieti.
Rieti is 75 km far from Rome and it is easily reachable in one hour, even choosing to drive through SS4 Salaria for the entire route.

BY TRAIN: All the interregional trains of the Terni-Rieti-Sulmona line stop at Greccio. Check the site: Ferrovie dello Stato | Italo
BY CAMPER: RIETI : The camper area is located in via Fonte Cottorella. It offers free parking, charge and discharge service.
Terminillo: The camper area is located in p.le Anello di Campoforogna. Paid service.
how to get to greccio
BY CAR From the North: maintain A1 highway up to Orte toll booth and turn to Terni or follow the E45 (Perugia/Cesena) to Terni.
From Terni: maintain the junction Terni/Orte and take Terni Est exit towards Rieti. Maintain the junction Terni/Rieti and take Greccio exit.
From the south: drive through A1 highway and take Roma Nord exit.
From Roma Nord tool booth: continue for Fiano Romano and take Salaria towards Rieti. Once in Rieti, take the junction to Terni, Greccio exit.
